An update?

Was outside today. Shocking. Rain has stopped. This photo confirmed what I thought. We are now officially designated a tropical rain forest. Okay, perhaps not, but I'm glad it was near 80 degrees today!

Kassie Sunday: Friend or Foe?

This little guy decided to visit us yesterday.

More Garden...

Was going to title this "one of these things is not like the others" but that seemed too long. Was that from Sesame Street? Well, hope you stop and smell the "fleurs". Actually, hope you don't try to smell them. It would look pretty odd if someone walked by and you were sniffing your computer screen! Someday I may actually have time to edit my photos before I post them! Brighter colors, this statue could have been cropped to look like she doesn't have a double chin, etc. Oh well. It's almost the weekend and a holiday weekend at that. Enjoy!

100th Post

Some of you may have been wondering why I haven't updated my blog. I realized I was at my 100th post and thought it would be fitting to wait til Sunday to post a Kassie pic. She is afterall my most popular and loyal subject. This photo was taken awhile back with a point and shoot camera and I didn't have it on my computer until very recently. It was not staged, the light was coming through the window and she just happened to be lying right there. It's my favorite shot of her!

Art Show

This was one of those times where I had my camera, but for whatever reason didn't feel like taking that many photos. I did manage these three. The top one I just liked how the sunlight was hitting the hats. The second one, I've always had this love of glass, and the third one shows some of the trees under which the art show was held.

Night visitor

Though much less exciting of a story than b13 (see link to the right) had with his border collies, Kassie and I had a run in with this little guy (girl???). Of course being the perfect pup (ha!), she just looked at it and went on her way. I thought she was going to eat it! A night photographer I am not, so sorry for the quality, bright flash. Poor thing is probably blinded for life.

Okay, so they're around all day, and lots of them! Someday I'll get my zoom lens and it will make shots like this easier. (I hope.) Perhaps then I'll also be able to get the hummingbirds that keep emptying their feeder.

Didn't have a chance to participate in Anna's Project Black, so I thought I'd post some better late than never shots. They are from top: ceiling at Arby's, runny tar on asphalt, light at Arby's, coffee lids, and Jeep headlight. I only broke the no using black and white shots rule on the asphalt one as there were pieces of brown in the shot. Will try to get back to a photo a day. Oh, and my project 30 (weightloss) well, we won't discuss it. Back on track with that today also.
